4 Best Strategies For Webkinz Crazed Kids
Time management is just as important for kids it is for working adults. As a parent, you need to balance your child’s playing time on the computer. Whether it’s chatting, games, videos, the interactive Webkinz Love Puppy, you want your child to be able to play using all senses, especially with other kids off-line. Here’s some sound advice to consider as a parent:
1. Balance the time your child spends on the computer or online with actual playing time offline, so that he/she engages all their senses. Especially for preschoolers, as this will continue to develop imagination including emotional and intellectual health, as well as establishing healthy relationships.
2. Encourage your child to use other toys to create an offline world for Webkinz pets and other things that are unrelated. And make sure there’s enough active playing time as well. Sitting at the computer and staring at a screen daily for hours doesn’t provide any physical exercise. This is neither good for the child nor the adult who constantly sits at the computer.
3. As challenging as this may seem, try to set a reasonable limit for computer time. Perhaps an hour per day for very young children. But be prepared to explain why your child must do this, and better yet, interact with your child in some other activities together.
4. Social sites likes Webkinz World and other sites, of course, needs to be monitored. It’s probably better to leave the social networking such as, instant messaging, logging into chat rooms, etc. Out. Those are better left for teenagers and adults to use rather than young children. Social networks are better left to playgrounds, kids parties and places, etc.
The bottom-line here is, too much playing time on the computer takes away healthy growth–mentally, emotionally and physically, including developing offline relationships. So a child’s mind and body development is key. Sometimes parents hate to say no to their young children when they are having so much fun. And while this may mean you get to spend more time doing other things around the house, think of your child’s growth and learn to say “OK, that’s enough computer time.”
